Check back on Monday to see who won!
Good luck to everyone who entered.
Its time again for my favorite giveaway of the year, the
Sew Mama Sew giveaway. This year, I wanted to give away something really great so I decided to give away
fabric, and not just any fabric, really great fabric. I am giving away five fat quarters from the Secret Garden collection by Sandi Henderson for Michael Miller Fabrics.
What do you think? Pretty huh? I think I just heard your excited squeal. Ya, I am excited too!
Here is what you do to enter. I will make it real easy for you. All you have to do is leave me a comment below telling me what you think makes a great blog. If you would like to get a bonus entry, you can follow my blog and post an additional comment letting me know you did, but it is not a requirement to get an entry into my contest. The winner will be selected at random using the random.org random number generator.
This giveaway is open until December 7th at 5pm PST. Any comments posted after 5pm on December 7th will not be included in the contest, so hurry end enter.
I will email a winner on December 9th. Make sure you include a valid email in your post if you are an anonymous commenter. If you win and I can't notify you by email, then I have to choose another winner. Check back after the 9th to see who won. The fabric will be shipped out to the winner by December 14th (but not necessarily delivered by then).
Good luck !!!
Lisa

ReplyDeleteI love a blog that makes me laugh!
ReplyDeleteI like seeing other people's projects - what they've picked to work with, what patterns/tutorials/ideas they'll use and how they plan to use the projects in the home/life.
ReplyDeleteI try to put more pictures. I'm not that great at writing and I prefer looking than reading

ReplyDeleteGreat photos!
ReplyDeletepersonality. The blogs I like most have fun personalities that shine through-after reading it, not only did I learn how to make something new or thought about whatever topic they were disucssing, or whatever, but I also feel like I know the blogger better.
ReplyDeletePhotos and tutorials. Thanks for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeletei think a great blog not only has tutorials, but describes their inspiration, and the thinking behind what they are doing and why.
ReplyDeleteOne of the things I like on a quilt blog is short, to-the point posts and sharp, clear, photos. Tutorials can be longer, and I like to read about "why" you took a certain approach. Quilts and fabrics are great topics. Thanks for the great giveaway prize offer.
ReplyDeleteA great quilt blog has photos, tutorials, hows & whys of designing projects. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteLove lots of pictures. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI love seeing photos of works in progress on blogs!
ReplyDeleteI like seeing pictures and reading about projects. The pictures don't necessarily have to be of the projects (but that helps) as I also really like other people's travel photos. :)
ReplyDeleteOne thing that makes a blog a fave for me is: post your mistakes, too! :) We all learn from each other's mistakes, and it makes a blogger seem human, friendly, and like someone else said above, approachable and someone I could hang out with. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I followed you! ;)
ReplyDeleteLots of pictures, a few jokes
ReplyDeleteHonesty makes a good blog. People that try to sell you things or talk down to your or apologise for not blogging for a day are just annoying!
ReplyDeleteI love lots of pictures on blogs!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing lots of good pictures as well as techniques.
ReplyDeleteInteresting projects make the blog - along with a personal touch. I like to know why people decided to use the fabrics they did or what they struggled with in a project. Thanks for teh chance to win such lovely fabrics!
ReplyDeleteThings I like in a blog: visually appealing, consistent posts, and well-written posts that don't have a zillion spelling or grammar errors

ReplyDeleteColor & fabric design, great pictures. Sometimes if I really like the looks of the fabric I end up liking the project. If I don't like the fabric I most of the time don't like the project. Thanks for the chance.

ReplyDeleteI think a good blog has an authentic voice, and a good quilting blog shows the process--I like to see HST's, for example, and then a few weeks later see them in a quilt.

ReplyDeleteBlog with clear view and good tutorial in my opinion are good blog
ReplyDeletelots of eye candy!
ReplyDeleteI really like stunning blogs with great pictures and tutorials... but if I am honest, that are no reasons for me to stay or follow a blog. The play a part at the first moment to raise the intertest, but like in real life there has to be more behind to connect with. I visti a broad range of blogs where I just love to read whatever the person wrote. Being real is important to really feel connected to the person writing and creating the blog :)
ReplyDeleteI like a blogs that draw me in with personality and pictures.
ReplyDeleteI like to be inspired by the projects shown in a blog, learn something from a tutorial, and get to 'know' the blogger a little.
ReplyDeleteVoice is the most important. Draw me in

I think good pictures and unique original content makes a good blog. I get bored when a blog just re-posts content and ideas from other blogs. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteGood pictures and a personal touch; I like reading about people's experiments and failures as much as I like seeing finished products.
ReplyDeleteharper651 [at] gmail
I'm not really sure what makes a great blog - I suppose frequent enough updates, and a good mix of personal and on-topic... I don't know. I'm not a very good blogger myself and I have a hard time pinning down what I like, though I do read very, very many blogs.
ReplyDelete(clumsy.chord(at)gmail.com)
I think giveaways, recipes, and tutorials make a blog great!

Pictures and an honest tone - I like it when people share their mistakes as it is reassuring that I'm not the only one who has thins go wrong!
ReplyDeleteTo me a great blog means TEACHING or TELLING me something I don't already know. I go to blogs to not just enjoy a fellow crafter (or whatever you do) but to learn something new or get help with something I am doing. While there I then love to walk around and get inspiration! Cheri
